Our goal is to promote collaboration, partnerships, and shared programming among its members. As well, we advocate for the arts in the area of economic development, tourism, and education.
In 2016, we started working together to bring the arts organizations of the East End together to support and encourage collaborations.
We knew we would be stronger with all of us working together to promote the rich cultural life out here year-round.
We make a strong statement for the arts and culture as a body of institutions with our initiatives: THAW Fest, Pause Portraits, and the COVID19 Relief Funds for local artists.
As the COVID19 protocols relax, we are all scrambling to figure out safe ways to engage the public again. But we are also looking at significant local issues, particularly in affordable housing, and learning how we can affect change for our labor force who can no longer afford to live here.
We are eager to find ways to engage with the local community and help them to understand why it's so important to support what HAN does.
And, at the same time, we want to do more to support the local economy. We all live and work here. We've raised our children here. We want the East End to be a vibrant and sustainable area for those who live here and those who visit us.
